Internet Marketing - Keeping Up

The one thing that many people don't understand is that even after you have finally achieved some success as an Internet marketer, you still have to keep up with what's going on out in the marketing world. Things change constantly. Most new programs are gone in the first 2 years of being in business. If you're a part of one of those programs you're going to want to know what's going on. So the question is, how DO you keep up with all the changes and new programs?

The first thing you have to concentrate on is the program or programs that you currently belong to. Hopefully, these programs will have members areas that contain forums or message boards where updates regarding the program's status will be posted. This is the first place to go when trying to find out what the deal is with your main source of income. Take with a grain of salt what you learn from outside sources. Most people have an agenda and love to start rumors. If you have any questions about your program, post a message at the forum or email the owner if it is a sensitive issue.

The next thing is to keep track of what's up and coming. There are new programs being created everyday. While you don't necessarily want to join all of them, you do want to at least know what they are and get as much info about them as you can. There are a number of ways to keep informed of the newest programs on the Internet.

One way is to surf the traffic exchanges. I don't recommend doing this to actually try to promote your business, as most people are just clicking to get credits, but it's a great way to see a number of sites in a very short period of time. Considering most traffic exchange timers are about 30 seconds, you can see as many as 120 sites in an hour. There is certainly going to be a few new ones out of those. When you find them, read the page and if it seems worth while, email the owner assuming there is an email address.

Another way to keep up with things is to hook up with one of those safelist submitter programs where you get to submit to 1000 safelists all at once. Then get one of those bottomless email boxes to received all your junk mail and then as the emails come in, go through them. You are probably going to run into just about everything that is being promoted on the Internet with this method. Again, don't expect too much in the way of sales.

You can also hang out at the message boards and forums. You will either find people advertising or at least discussing various programs, depending on the forum rules. Most forums do allow placing ads. The ones that don't will usually allow discussions on programs as long as no links are passed around. If you have a question about a particular program, you can always PM somebody at the forum itself.

These are just a few of the ways to keep up with what's going on in the marketing world.

See you next time.

Sincerely,
